Operations

The company will operate a state-of-the-art deep sea fishing operation, utilizing modern vessels such as trawlers, longliners, and purse seiners equipped with cutting-edge fishing gear, support equipment, and facilities. This will be manned by a highly skilled and experienced personnel, ensuring the highest level of professionalism.

Market Opportunity.

Somalia's EZ has an estimated annual catch potential of more than 300,000 metric tons, with only a fraction of this potential currently being harvested. The company's entry strategy involves deploying fishing vessels capable of harvesting increasing volumes of fish over the first five years of operation.

Export Markets and Strategy.

4SEASONS GLOBAL INC targets both local and international markets, initially selling fish directly from vessels to operators. Plans include establishing a fish processing facility to enhance product range and export potential.

The company's competitive edge lies in its ability to employ modern equipment and an experienced deep sea fishing crewl. This will enable it to harvest and export a diverse range of high-quality seafood species, catering to global demand.

Fishing Operations.

4seasons Global Inc. will run a high-tech deep sea fishing operation in Somalia's EEZ, using modern vessels and advanced gear to export 12 premium seafood species, including bonito tuna, octopus, lobsters, and squids.

Onshore Fish Processing

Initially, the fish will be offloaded onto large fish processing vessels, which will process and freeze the product on board while transporting it to market

The company plans to gradually establish an onshore pelagic fish processing facility to add value by freezing and packaging the fish before distribution to markets. The processing facility will employ 50-100 workers initially

Packaging and Cold Storage.

At the processing facility, the fish will be sorted and frozen in fast freezing vertical plate freezers for 3-5 hours. The frozen blocks will be mechanically packaged into sealed polythene bags to ensure quality and stored in the cold storage facility, awaiting shipment

Export Markets.

The target market will include both local and international markets However, in the early stages of operation, prior to
the development of a processing factory, the fish will be sold ex-vessel to refer operators, who will carry it to final market destinations

Collaboration with International Partners:

The company plans to collaborate with its joint venture partners to establish the onshore processing facility and expand operations. It wil also work with stakeholders such as the Somalia Maritime Authority (SMA) and the Somalia Marine Fisheries Research Institute (SMFRI) as needed
